The MERLIN mount is a small motorized head allowing for externally controlled movements in 2 axes. Built in encoders allow for precise positioning of the head of about 0,5 degree. That makes it a reasonably priced alternative for photographic and video purposes, like panorama photography or timelapse videos or surveillance.
The original handbox (included) is easy to manage: You can choose from 2 sets of 3 speeds, and go in all directions simultaneously. Up to 6 positions can be stored in the internal memory and recalled by pressing a button (surveillance).
The MERLIN can be fully controlled externally, via bluetooth or USB cable (Ursa Minor products). It works with free software like the popular Papywizard. Also, there is a built-in jack on the head for controlling a Canon camera by the software at the same time.

CAUTION: This is the "non-Goto" (non astronomical GoTo) version of MERLIN, this one only is to be used for panorama photography and has the Canon jack activated.
